Our Community Plan for 2013

*** Feedback much appreciated***

In year two of our business we began making donations to the North Shore Crisis Services Society, in recognition of the repeat and referral business that we receive on the North Shore.  We have donated over $5,000 to this charity that supports Women and Children in crisis.

NSCSS Mission Statement

"To promote a secure and abuse-free environment for women and children." www.nscss.net

It is our goal this year to see our donated funds break the $10,000 mark.  In addition to our monetary commitment we are looking to support Laura Reynolds and the Team at NSCSS with In Kind support.  It is our plan to attend any fund raising events and provide stone chip repairs by donation-all funds going to NSCSS.  We will also be donating our time/expertise and materials at a fall 2013 Auction.  $2,000 towards a Custom Shower - Mirrored Wall - Foggy Windows +++ watch for details and an opportunity to save money plus support this community based organization.

In addition to the North Shore Crisis Services Society we would like to expand our support as our business continues to grow.  Our ideas for this year include the following; through the business we compile a great deal of reward points and would like to purchase merchandise from these points and make it available for local charities to Auction off.  As part of this program any Auction that we are supporting with merchandise we would like to Auction off our services with a material component as well. With this "program" we are leaning towards supporting our local schools, sports teams, or individual students with scholarship funds.  We are open to suggestions but would like our support to stay here on the North Shore, and would like 100% of funds raise going directly to the Team, School, or Individual Scholarship.

Everywhere we turn organizations are requiring support from the community to deliver their services and programs – we believe as a Community if we support businesses that are making a difference locally this can be a vehicle for these organizations to raise funds through the purchasing power of the consumer.
Please forward any request for Auction Donations (supporting North Shore organizations) to John Goldsmith @ glassdoctor@shawbiz.ca.

Thank you to our Customers for your ongoing support!
